To create a variable kit, first select the type "variable kit" from the drop-down menu when creating the product.
You will then be taken to the general product edition. To set the product's components, go to the Components
tab.
The variable kit consists of several components from which the customer can choose the products he wants.
Example: You want to offer a customizable jewelry set.
Component 1: One of the two rings of your choice.
Component 2: One of two necklaces of your choice.
Component 3: Two of three earrings to choose from
When creating the component, give it a name and associate the products.
The "Maximum quantity" field is mandatory, as it defines the number of products the seller can choose from this component.
When placing the order for the variable kit, the customer will then have a step-by-step choice, enabling him to compose his kit as he wishes.
If a product in the kit is out of stock, it cannot be ordered in the variable kit.
